Hi, I'm Maggie—the reader behind Maggie's Secret Shelf.

For as long as I can remember, I've loved words. I started writing poems from a very young age. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the idea of getting lost inside a story.

However, life has a funny way of keeping us busy.

At a young age, I became a mother of two. Between raising my daughters, working, taking care of everyone else, finding time to simply sit down and read a novel felt impossible.

Then at 26, I picked up my first novel.

It was A Child Called "It”.

I still remember how that book made me feel. It opened a door to a whole new world for me—the world of books. And once I stepped through that door , I never wanted to leave.

Over the years, books became more than something to read. They became an escape, a comfort, a friend, a place to laugh, cry, fall in love, solve mysteries, and experience lives completely different from my own.

And that is where Maggie's Secret Shelf was born.
